Currency in circulation continues its upward tend

The stock of banknotes and coins in circulation continued its upward trajectory observed in previous years, recording an annual increase of 4,282.1 million dinars (MD) to reach 26,876.8 MD at the close of the 2025 financial year, compared to 22,594.7 MD at the end of December 2024, according to the report “Financial Statements for 2025 and Auditors’ Report” published by the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT).
