Number of bank accounts in Tunisia exceeds 10mln late in 2022

In Tunisia, the number of bank accounts has increased, over the last five years, by 1.7% per year, to exceed 10 million accounts at the end of 2022, the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) said in a report published Friday.

By the end of 2022, 6.6 million cards were issued, reporting an average annual increase of 9.4% over the period between 2018-2022, the BCT adds in its annual report on Banking Supervision for the financial year 2022.
